ReBranding Kima's LUV :)

Image
Hey Luv's I feel so bad that I haven't posted in over a year. I feel I've been a really bad pen pal to you all 🙈. But I have been working real hard in both of my careers. My fashion career has me rethinking a lot of things, and thinking of what direction I really want to take it, in regards branding. I even took an online course to educate myself on things I can do to improve my business and just my overall understanding. Its really important to keep yourself educated in every area of life, as you can never have enough knowledge. I strive on Love~Understanding~Value, leading with the 3 of these you will find growth in all elements of life. There's a book that I've been reading called 'Quotes Of Faith and Inspirations' and 'Measures Of Purpose In Life'  By Kayisha Thomas ( www.kayishaonline.com ), these books are great for direction and clarification. It has reassured me that I am doing what I was place here on earth to do by God, and tha

Hey Luvs, It's been a super super long time since I last blogged. I had a blog written and ready to post and I was also working on a tutorial video for you guys, but that didn't workout how I planned.  But what I have for you all is better than the new post and the video...loool I have been working on my new collection and this collection has been a blessing to me as it came to me very organically.  Over the summer I went to London to buy some fabric for a customer and hang out with family. So while I was in the fabric store looking for a particular colour of fabric I came across an Army print that really stood out to me. And the quality of it was 100% so after I found the colour that I was looking for I decided to get the Army print and a few other fabrics that I liked.  So after my weekend with my family in London and working on this project for my customer, I had an ideas for the Army print to make bow ties and hair bows. The picture in my head was super cute...l

How I made My U Part Wig

Image
How I make my U Part Wig Hey guy, Sorry that the U Part wig post is so late, but I hope you all had a wonderful Easter/Spring Break  where ever you are. I know in the US, you guys are now on Summer break. I had family over for the Easter holiday, which was great 😊 I had a lot to do, I did my two nieces hair and I started a new wig for my mum but couldn't finish it because I ran out of hair 😞. And I completely forgot to take picture of my step by step process to making the wig.  But I will do my best to explain it as easy as possible.          So the first U Part Wig I made was half made as it was a weave wig that I had brought a few years ago. The weave wig came in two parts I.e. the bottom piece; which covers the back and sides and the top piece; which covered the crown.      So the first thing I did was unpick the tracks from the crown piece which I then used to make the wig as it was the same hair.  Step 1 : measure you wig cap/ wig net an
